i love the conscious decision of eating ice cream alone
no one dragged you into it
a deliberate trip to walmart for this very flavor
how it unconsciously becomes the whole pint
not that little bowl sitting out, left by the sink
because you knew!
what could possibly be spontaneous about a bowl
and don’t we like pretending adventure?
its already 8pm on a saturday night
